Winner of the BRC "Quest-X" competition for the "Eventing face of the future" in 2007 year earned a place on the European 2* team to represent Great Britain in Europe but was unable to go due to injury, however she was selected again in 2009 and the team received a bronze medal,   Kathy and Missy completed the Open section at Gatcombe, no mean feat, competing against all the "names" of eventing.  She qualified for and competed at Blenheim in September 2009 and because she completed she qualified for Badminton 2010 although didn't participate.

I have taken over the position as chairman again and I hope to maintain the club as it is but have many great ideas for the club this year.  I have been riding for a great number of years and re-joined Frampton Family Riding Club back in 1996. I am not very competitive but will have a go at most things.  I go to the Stockland Lovell camp each year and excell at the karaoke, making a real fool of myself.  I have a lovely skewbald gelding who despite being querky is doing really well, he loves his jumping and we were hoping to have a go in the teams events this year but sadly a broken foot may mean I have to postpone it for a year.

Vice Chairperson and Rosettes & Trophies  Mrs Penny Ferneyhough

Hello again members.  I have re-joined the committee after a couple of years abstinence.  Have 3 equines at Elmore – Bit of a Blether (BB), Sammie and Edward with some chickens but no pigs !  Do attend some rallies but mostly we stick to fun rides and Trec these days.  Have taken rosettes and trophies back on board from our Chairman as I am sure she will have more than enough to keep her occupied! so any queries in that regard give me a call.  I also tend to undertake the commentary at our Hunter Trials which I very much enjoy.  Hope to see you all at our various events.

Alfie Moon

Miss Amanda Blewett

I have been riding since the age of 7, far too many years to think about. I had owned my 14.2 chestnut pony, Flame for 27 years before his death at the age of 34 in 2004. You may have seen him tethered on Frampton Green as I lived at the Top Shop on the Green for 14 years.

I've owned Flamenco Dancer (Menco) since 2003 when she was 10 months old and Alfie Moon (Alf) since 2007. Both were foaled in 2002 and are Thoroughbreds bred by Dave Smith at Malthouse Farm, Saul. They are by Zahran (Zack) who was a quite succesful flat racer in his time having 88 runs with 4 firsts, 12 seconds & 12 third places.

I have been a member of FFRC for almost 5 years now, since Menco turned 4. I have competed in the novice show jumping for the club with both horses, more sucess with Menco than Alf!

I live with Daisy May - a blind deaf cocker spaniel, Dolly - a hooligan minature Jack Russell, and Billy Whizz - who is a long haired, very handsome, grey tabby moggy. I work as an engineer in the Oil & Gas industry.

I have been riding since the age of 3, being a FFRC member and pony club member in my junior years and mainly BSJA showjumping as a teenager.  I then had a break for a couple of years in my late teens when I bought my first house but got back in to it with a foal when I was 20.  Since then I have become more keen on dressage as the older I get the bigger the jumps look!  I bought a purebred Knabstrupper stallion as a 2 year old from Denmark in 2007 and started The Waterbank Stud, my stallion Tornado af Knabstrup is now graded with Zfdp of Germany, KNN of Denmark and Sports Pony Society of GB and regularly competes dressage with the Riding Club and attends rallies.  I also have another spotty horse, called Spot (Winton) he is 16.2hh 10 year old, he hates dressage but is my trusted jumping friend, who although can get cricket scores when a little excited, he can also pull out some exciting speed rounds when he needs to!  I currently have 6 other horses which are a mixture of broodmares and Tornado’s offspring.

Mrs Diana Hall

I collect the subscriptions, and sort the cross-country flags.

I have given up competitive riding now, following two hip replacements, although I do still ride April Read's horse on occasions.  I am pictured with April's horse.

I have four children, who all rode when they were young, and who are now all married, with children of their own.
