Area Qualifiers & Championships

If you put your name forward for an Area Qualifier, payment must be made in full prior to the close of entries.  If you have to withdraw from the qualifier, refunds are not given as we are not able to obtain refunds from the area organisers, unless the event is cancelled.

Area 9 Arena Eventing Qualifier

Sunday 10th October 2021

West Wilts Equestrian Centre, Trowbridge BA14 6QT

All qualifying classes are open to Juniors and Seniors Teams and Individuals, the non-qualifying classes are individuals only.

***Please note, this event qualifies for the Arena Eventing Championships in 2022 (Date TBC) at Washbrook Farm, Aston le Walls, Daventry, Northampton LN2 2NA.***

Horse/rider combinations are only allowed to compete at one height. The course consists of a course of show jumps immediately followed by cross country fences, and will finish with the last fence as a show jump, the joker fence, which will be set at a discretionary 10cm higher than the rest of the course. The joker fence is a compulsory fence and must be jumped, failure to jump before passing through the finish will be classed as error of course and elimination. There will be a maximum of 20 jumping efforts, 9 show jumping, 10 XC fences and the joker SJ fence. Judged on optimum time of whole course.

Mixed 100 – Teams may consist of a mixture of Junior and Senior riders and individuals.
Riders: Not to have competed 4* Eventing under FEI rules in the last 5 calendar years.
Horses: Horses with a maximum of 20 BE points.

90 – For Teams and Individuals. Class will split in to Junior and Senior sections
Riders: Not to have competed 3* Eventing under FEI rules in the last 5 calendar years.
Horses: May not have completed BRC CH100/BRC HT100 in the same competition year. All horses may be registered with BE with a maximum of 1 BE point and not to have been placed in the first six BE 100 or completed a BE 105 or higher in the current year or previous year.

80 – For Teams and Individuals. Class will split in to Junior and Senior sections
Riders: Not have to have completed a BE100, BRCHT 100 or CH100 or above in the current competition year.
Horses: May be registered with BE but must not have any BE points. Not to have placed in the top six of BE 90 or have completed a BE 100 or above in the current year or previous year.

Mixed 70 – Teams may consist of a mixture of Junior and Senior riders and individuals.
Riders: Not have to have completed a BE90, BRCHT 90 or CH90 or above in the current competition year.  Riders not allowed to compete at 90 or above in this qualifier on a different horse.
Horses: May be registered with BE but must not have any BE points or BE Foundation points. Not to have placed in the top six of BE80 or have completed a BE90 or above in the current year or previous year.

Entry fee: TBC

ENTRIES CLOSE: FRIDAY 10TH SEPTEMBER 2021

All horses/ponies must be up to date with Flu vaccinations as per the BRC rules, I can supply more info regarding the Flu vaccinations if you require.  Horses must have received a six month booster vaccination AFTER 20TH March 2021 and BEFORE 2nd October 2021

From 1st October 2020 all horses and ponies must be microchipped by law – spot checks will be done on the day, any found not microchipped will be disqualified.

4th & 5th September 2021 NAF Five Star National Championships @ Lincolnshire Showground, Grange-de-lings, Lincoln LN1 2SX
1st – 3rd October 2021 TopSpec Dressage to Music Championships @ Bury Farm Equestrian Club, Mill Road, Slapton, Leighton Buzzard LU7 9BT

Huge congratulations to FFRC 70cm Showjumping Team consisting of Elida Bartlett, Evelyn Nicholls, Faye Tollerton and Tara Wilcox and to FFRC Open 80 Individual winner Sheenagh Bragg & Blue Pearl Bay on qualifying for the BRC National Championships!

Also, to the FFRC 80cm Showjumping Team consisting of Faye Tollerton, Ruth Saunders, Nichola Doubtfire and Kelly Clack on qualifying for the BRC South Wales & West of England Regional Championships!
